DEPO store to open in Lasnamäe

In collaboration with Infortar, the Latvian retail chain DEPO is building its second store in Estonia, located next to the Tallink Tennis Center in Lasnamäe. The store will cover an area of 30,000 m² and is scheduled to open in the fall of 2026.

The total investment in the project amounts to approximately €52 million, of which €27 million will be invested by Infortar in real estate development. DEPO, in turn, plans to allocate €25 million to create a shopping space in line with its concept.

According to Rimants Jugans, DEPO's Marketing Director, the first DEPO store in Estonia has proven to be a successful place where Estonians draw ideas and inspiration, finding solutions for their plans. "This motivates us to expand our operations in Estonia. People have come to appreciate our concept – a wide selection of readily available goods in larger quantities, along with a consistent and stable policy of low prices," Jugans remarked.

"This store will make DEPO even more accessible to people looking to enhance their surroundings at home, in their gardens, and outdoor spaces. We are confident that the second DEPO store in Tallinn will also become a favorite spot for everyday shopping, including leisure and sports goods, home textiles and interior items, household and food products, and pet supplies," Jugans added.

“For Lasnamäe, this means the addition of a modern retail space, and for Infortar, a new collaboration project, the launch of the second phase of the Mustakivi property development, and a significant addition to our real estate portfolio,” said Ain Hanschmidt, CEO of Infortar.

The design process for the DEPO store has begun, with construction expected to start in the spring of 2025. Next to the store, 522 parking spaces will be built, along with improvements to several intersections and access roads to ensure smooth and safe traffic flow, including the construction of a new street. The necessary environmental conditions for commencing construction have already been met, and the works are expected to be completed by the fall of 2026. This will be the 18th store in the DEPO network.
