The Estonian Golf Association and Infortar have signed a cooperation agreement, under which Infortar becomes the main sponsor of the Estonian Golf Association and the title sponsor of the Estonian stroke play championships. With this title, for the first time, monetary prizes will be awarded to players who win medals. In addition, the tournament's top male amateur and professional player will have the opportunity to participate in the Challenge Tour event in Finland, Vierumäki, in August.
"Infortar has grown into one of Estonia's largest companies, and with that, our responsibility and desire to contribute more broadly have increased. We are an investment company, and cooperation with the Estonian Golf Association can be seen as an investment - we believe in the development of Estonian golf and see an opportunity in the near future to take the next step towards achievement in sports and medals. Of course, golf is also emotionally important to us; many employees of companies belonging to the Infortar group play golf themselves," noted Infortar's Chairman of the Board Ain Hanschmidt.
According to the General Secretary of the Estonian Golf Association, Kristo Raudam, he is pleased that the strongest companies in their field have joined the supporters of the Estonian Golf Association. "The role of the private sector in the daily development of the sport is becoming increasingly important, and it is gratifying to see that, despite difficult times, the private sector is willing to contribute more and more to the development of Estonian golf."
According to Infortar's Managing Director Martti Talgre, the best times in the 30-year history of Estonian golf have arrived. "We have many talented girls and boys. If diligent Estonian entrepreneurs lend a hand, we will hear more about them, even at the world level," said Talgre.
Infortar continuously and responsibly contributes to society. Its long-term partnership-oriented sponsorship strategy includes equal parts of education, culture, environmental protection, and sports. As a major supporter of the Estonian Tennis Association and the Estonian Golf Association, Infortar values professionalism, dedication, and quality.
