"Tallinna Raamatutrükikoda is one of the most well-known players in its field. Today, it is better to operate together in the manufacturing and exporting industry, and consolidation is a general trend that helps to strengthen positions both in domestic and international markets," commented Priit Tamme, Deputy CEO of Infortar.
"With Infortar, we gain a strong strategic investor with long-term experience in the printing industry, and it is possible to find new synergies with the printing houses that are part of their group," noted Richard Tomingas, Managing Director of Tallinna Raamatutrükikoda.
Infortar owns Estonia's only internationally certified security printing company Vaba Maa, its subsidiary CardPlus VM, which specializes in the personalization of plastic cards, and AS Printon, which joined in August 2016 and is mainly focused on the book printing market.
Tallinna Raamatutrükikoda prints about 5 million copies annually, employs 104 people, and has 8,000 square meters of production and storage space. The deal is pending approval from the Competition Authority.
